Hello,
Yes, you can insert the drying stick all the way in, but please be careful not to break it. Afterwards, you can use your fingers to gently remove it. Alternatively, a safer method would be to use the Cleaning Forceps along with an absorbent towel for drying. The length of the Cleaning Forceps is approximately 9.45 inches. This is a stick. It absorbed moisture. So the holes of my dolls were dried.
But to elaborate, this drying stick was shipped in it’s own plastic packaging and wrapped in bubblewrap. My technique for both inserting and removing it is to hold open the edges of the doll’s opening, move the stick until I feel significant resistance, release the stick, spread the edges again, then move the stick again and repeat. Works well for me.
